Narrative:
The University of California, Santa Barbara Campus consists of 1055 acres and is located in Santa Barbara County on the Pacific coastline where we are highly susceptible to the effects of sea level rise. UCSB is made up of four principal campuses: the 422 acre Main Campus acquired in 1948, the 184 acre Storke Campus purchased in 1962, the 273 acre West Campus purchased partly in 1967, and partly in 2007, and the 174 acre North Campus purchased in 1994. The University also owns two apartment buildings in Isla Vista (El Dorado and Westgate). Through all of its land holdings, UCSB currently occupies nearly 8 million California‐Adjusted Gross Square Feet (CAGSF) of built‐out space.
