The assets of the UCSB Foundation are valued at $118,216,000 on June 30th, 2011. This includes the long-term investment pool and short-term investments. Without short-term investments, the total assets would be $106,782,000. The total value of the assets of the UCSB endowment held by the UC Regents is $93,227,000 (also as of June 30th, 2011).

For the most part, the UCSB Foundation invests in funds/groups of investments rather than in individual companies. The portfolio of companies that are included in each fund/group of investments fluctuates with the market. For a small portion (approximately $3.1 million) of the Foundation's investments, we direct investments towards major sectors (example: healthcare); however, individual companies are selected by our financial advisers, Goldman Sachs.

None of the funds/financial vehicles we invest in are specifically geared towards socially responsible investing

The investments of the General Endowment Pool can be found in our publicly posted report on holdings, available here: http://www.ucop.edu/treasurer/invpol/GEP_Holdings_12-31-10.pdf
We choose not to report on "Value of holdings in sustainable industries, such as renewable energy or sustainable forestry," as the value is likely too low to rationalize spending the time to report. The investments of the UCSB Foundation can be requested through a public information request directed to Eric Sonquist, Chief Financial Officer of the UCSB Foundation.
