Total full-time equivalent student enrollment:
38,361

Full-time equivalent of employees:
33,914

Part 1. Student commute modal split

Has the institution gathered data about student commuting behavior?:
Yes

Total percentage of students that use more sustainable commuting options as their primary mode of transportation:
71.60

A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:

The cordon count method is used to gather data about student commuting. The annual visual count of commuters arriving on campus cannot be broken down by type of commuter (students vs. employees). This commuter mode split data reflects the total population surveyed by physical count of Commuter Vehicle by type and associated Commuter Vehicle people during Winter Quarter FY 22-23 of campus entrances for commuter people and commuter vehicles. Survey supplemented with on-campus student housing resident counts.

Part 2. Employee commute modal split

Has the institution gathered data about employee commuting behavior?:
Yes

Total percentage of employees that use more sustainable commuting options as their primary mode of transportation:
71.60

A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting:

Data are not segmented separately by students or employees, so this 71.6% includes them both. All commuter mode split data reflect the total population surveyed by physical count of Commuter Vehicle by type and associated Commuter Vehicle people during Winter Quarter FY 22-23 of campus entrances for commuter people and commuter vehicles. Survey supplemented with employee remote work data.
