A brief description of the program:
Carpool participants transfer the eligible parking permit between drivers. In addition, carpools with three or more members receive an access sticker to park in reserved carpool spaces. UC San Diego also provides an occasional use parking permit to eligible individuals that carpool or vanpool. This program allows individuals to park their own cars on a limited number of days when they choose to drive their own car. These parking permit incentive passes cut the cost of parking and commuting as compared to Single Occupancy Vehicles (SOV) commuters.
