Is the institution's default not to print course catalogs, course schedules, and directories, but instead make these materials available online?:
Yes
A brief description of the practice:
Faculty utilize UC San Diego’s own learning management system, WebCT, to place class materials online that would otherwise be printed such as syllabi and assignments. Students also upload assignments electronically to WebCT and Turnitin.com. These initiatives save reams of paper every year.
UC San Diego course catalogs are available for download online at http://bookstore.ucsd.edu/launch/coursecatalog.htm.
