Does the institution participate in a car sharing program, such as ZipCar or HourCar?:
A brief description of the program:
There are currently 8 vehicles on campus and 4 at the Hillcrest Medical Center available to UC San Diego faculty, staff, and students for Zipcar carsharing. The hourly rate includes gas and insurance at no additional cost. Reservations can be made on-line or over the telephone.
Additionally, Getaround Car Sharing is promoted on campus which encourages car sharing as well. To learn more, visit http://www.getaround.com/.
