A brief description of the institution’s green infrastructure and LID practices:
UC has committed to a minimum LEED Silver certification for all new buildings and major renovations, which includes stormwater management. Recent new buildings at UCR have achieved LEED Gold and LEED Platinum certification and include LID stormwater features.

The campus has implemented Phase II Small MS4 stormwater permit post-construction requirements for new development and redevelopment projects; required site design measures and low impact development standards prioritize a green infrastructure approach.
