A brief description of the institution’s community garden:
The university’s R’Garden serves as an engagement resource for students and community members to learn and participate in Riverside’s local food systems. The community garden plots, greenhouse, and orange grove sit on an 8-acre lot on campus. Students can get involved by serving as interns, initiating educational seminars, or facilitating educational spaces. Students and community members alike can apply for a community garden plot, which allows them to sustainably grow their own produce at no cost.
