A brief description of the institution’s sustainability projects fund:
Through undergraduate student fees, GCAP is able to provide funding for UCR’s sustainability projects in the form of Green Grants, paid internships, and large-scale initiatives. Over the course of 10 years, GCAP has awarded approximately $700k to fund undergraduate student sustainability projects. Additionally, GCAP provides UCR students with educational and outreach programs that promote sustainable lifestyles on- and off-campus. The program provides resources in the hopes that it will inspire and enable leaders of the future to create change.

A brief description of the multi-stakeholder decision-making process used to determine which projects receive funding through the sustainability projects fund:
GCAP is comprised of 12 undergraduate student committee members who serve in positions from Director of Sustainability to regular voting members. At public meetings throughout the year, these committee members review grant applications and cast their votes on which projects will receive funding.
