A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
The Office of Sustainability participates in tabling during student orientation where sustainability officers and interns alike provide information and educate about sustainability initiatives and events in the UCR campus community. In addition, the Office of Sustainability also participates in move-in activities into apartments and residence halls.
There is a variety of environmental student organizations that table at orientations for undergraduate, graduate, and transfer students.
The vast majority of students attend orientations, but there is a number of students who do not attend in person.
