A brief description of how the institution engages in public policy advocacy for sustainability, including the issues, bills, and ordinances for or against which the institution has advocated:
UCR has several representatives from the campus that sit on advisory committees to the City of Riverside working on sustainability issues. We supported proposition F to establish a city commission on Sustainability, we are working to develop bicycling ordnances and collaborating on policy on green business development. The University of California advocates for climate related regulation and for changes in building code moving forward on a sustainable path.
