A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Through a grant from the student funded Green Climate Action Plan Engineering Undergraduates were able to design and construct a 6kWh mobile renewable energy generator (MREG) that is used to off-set grid based energy use for student events and to provide renewable energy for the Sustainable R'garden. The MREG is equipped with 12 solar pv panels, a small retractable wind turbine, 8 storage batteries (6kWh), two invertors and an on-board computer and screen that broadcast the energy data from the unit to a web browser while enabling local viewers to directly monitor the system.
