UC Merced does not include community service on student transcripts at this time. The campus uses an academic transcript model, but has plans to develop an extra-curricular transcript which would serve as a record of students’ participation in service organizations, athletics and student government.

A brief description of the institution’s employee community service initiatives:
The campus does not have a formal incentive program but many departments offer compensatory time for their employees who participate in particular community service opportunities.
Employees serve on various non-profit boards, participate in the Food Pantry distribution, volunteer with various sport organizations, and many participate in the 2 National Days of Service opportunities that UC Merced sponsors in our local community.
