A brief description of the child care program, policy, or practice:
The Early Childhood Education Center is located on the UC Merced campus. It provides a quality child care option for employees and students with children, as well as an opportunity for research in early childhood education.
Tuition Rates for UC Merced students, staff and faculty are discounted from the normal community rates. Subsidy for low-income UCM students and employees has always been a priority for ECEC. A scholarship is available to income-qualified UCM affiliated families that would reduce their monthly tuition by 25%.
