A number of training and professional development opportunities are available to all staff on campus. Training and development opportunities are available in the following areas: Business and Operations, Environment, Safety, and Emergency Management, Occupation-Specific Skills, Organizational Effectiveness, Professional Skills and Career Development, Supervision, Management and Leadership, Technology, Systems and Software, UC Essentials, Work Life and Wellness.
UC Merced also offers a selection of online courses in leadership and supervisory skills, as well as a Supervisory Certificate Program, and a Diversity Certificate Program, which establishes a foundational awareness of the concepts of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and shows the benefits of valuing both concepts.
