A brief description of the institution’s green event certification program:
UCLA operates a Green Events Certification program open to all members of the campus community. Any campus community member may receive certification for an on-campus event. Those seeking Green Event certification complete a questionnaire and submit other information, which are reviewed by UCLA Sustainability staff. Staff determine whether an event meets applicable certification criteria, including compliance with campus policies. If any event elements require a change to meet certification standards, staff work with submitters to make such corrections. Upon approval by staff, campus community members receive a Green Events Seal to use in marketing, and are required to collect and submit evidence of a sustainable event before receiving final certification after the event.
