All New Construction and Major Renovation projects at UCLA are required to complete LEED Certification at Silver level or better; many have achieved Gold or Platinum Level. In connection, contractors are encouraged to exceed 75% construction waste diversion. Recent projects have documented between 77% to 99% diversion rates.

A Table showing recovered percentages from the nine contributing LEED projects during the period has been uploaded as “2017-18 UCLA CD Recycling Data.pdf” Supporting Waste Tallies and additional backup documentation can be provided upon request if needed.

LEED-compliant Construction and Demolition Waste Tallies reported for the following Campus Projects: Wasserman Football Performance Center, Ostin Basketball Center, Margan Apartments, DeNeve Bakery, Bradley Commissary, Hedrick Dining, Warner Graduate Art Studios, Geffen Academy, Marion Anderson Hall.
