Name of the campaign (2nd campaign):
UC Cool Campus Challenge

A brief description of the campaign (2nd campaign):

The UC Cool Campus Challenge engaged staff and students in the UC Carbon neutrality initiative by providing a competition setting and online pledge dashboard. While targeting the whole campus population, this competition was specifically engaging for staff members who would not traditionally attend other types of engagement events. By focusing on an online pledge dashboard website, this competition engaged staff by allowing them to participate from their desk computer, while providing concrete tips for actions they can take to reduce energy consumption in their work space.

A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign (2nd campaign):

This campaign substantially increased campus awareness of the carbon neutrality initiative. Prior to the competition, knowledge about our carbon neutrality goals was limited to sustainability and energy staff. This initiative brought the goal into the public realm and engaged the campus community to take part in the solutions.
