A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
The research inventory is based on a campus-wide survey that was completed as part of an environment and sustainability task force process in the Office of Interdisciplinary & Cross Campus Affairs. A team of students working with the Office of Sustainability and the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability used web searches to update the 2010 version of the inventory. The inventory was then reviewed by faculty on the list as well as all UCLA Deans.
The inventory was updated in 2018-2019 through the Deans Council.
