A brief description of the food donation program:
UCLA Catering has a donation program for baked goods and fruits/veggies that go to the Los Angeles Mission. When large quantities of food are left over, Dining Services in on-campus housing donates it to the Los Angeles Food Bank. In 2009, Dining Services did two major food donations to LA Food Bank, one after the New Student BBQ and one before the Holiday break, donating over 800 pounds of food. In December of 2010, Dining Services donated over 2,000 pounds of produce, prepared foods, eggs, milk, and more.
