UCI Wellness at the UCI Campus, Health Sciences and Medical Center, supports students, faculty, staff, and retirees in achieving a more balanced and healthy lifestyle both at work and at home. UCI's commitment to a healthy campus culture can be seen by many collaborative endeavors, Work life & Wellness benefits, programs, services and initiatives. The mission of the UCI Wellness Program is to educate and empower our UCI community to improve and maintain overall health and well-being, to make the healthy choice the easy choice, and to advocate for a healthy culture at UCI.

UCI was named a Platinum Level Fit-Friendly Company by the American Heart Association 2011-2017 in recognition of the campus' ongoing efforts to provide a culture of wellness for its employees as well as a Health at Work Award from ComPsych in 2015, and a WorldatWork Seal of Distinction in 2017.

The UCI Wellness program includes:

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free, confidential service available to UCI faculty, staff, retirees and dependents at both the UCI Campus and UCI Health. This program is administered by ComPsych Guidance Resources, with oversight from UCI Human Resources.

This service, staffed by experienced clinicians, is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A Guidance Resource Professional will help with problem identification, assessment and referral to treatment providers and community resources. Multilingual counselors are available. Services include, but are not limited to, clinical services, personal and financial services, and work/family life services.
