A brief description of the reusable mug program:
Over the last three years, more than 7,500 reusable water bottles were distributed to first-year freshman for re-use in our dining locations. Java City: Customers pay only 99 cents when they bring their own 20 oz. or less sized mug/cup (good at all locations). Einstein Bros Bagels: Customers pay only 99 cents when refilling 16 oz. or 20 oz. cups. Starbucks: Customers get a 10 cent discount when they bring their own mugs.

UC Irvine encourages the use of reusable mugs, water bottles, etc. in all dining facilities. Reusable bags are offered in our convenience stores. Residential Dining uses reusable dishware in all locations. Reusable to-go containers are also used.
