The purpose of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual Resource Center (LGBTQIA Resource Center) is to provide an open, safe, inclusive space and community for all LGBTQIA+ individuals at UC Davis and the greater Davis community. The LGBTQIA Resource Center promotes education as well as space for self-exploration about all sexes, genders, and sexualities and their intersections with other identities.

The Center provides access to a variety of resources and services which address health and wellness, coming out, and trans-specific needs. It also maintains a list of gender-inclusive restrooms on campus, a list of ally tips, an LGBTQIA glossary, and a guide to pronouns and inclusive language. The Center organizes events for pride month and various awareness days, as well as educational workshops and an annual weekend retreat. Its website also advertises various LGBTQIA clubs on campus and “The Out List”, which was created by undergraduate scholars at UC Davis as a way for scholars, staff, and faculty who identify as LGBTQIA+ to connect with each other and foster mentorship and support. Financially struggling UC Davis students who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community may reach out to the Center for an Emergency Student Grant.
