Wellness Ambassadors serve as representatives of the UC Davis Staff and Faculty Health and Well-being program while supporting and engaging their colleagues in wellness messaging, programs, activities and resources.
Wellness Ambassadors attend quarterly trainings, market, publicize and recruit staff and faculty participation in campus health and well-being activities and programming, identify potential ideas, strategies, and programs to enhance well-being and a healthy work culture/environment, develop health and well-being initiatives in their unit, share success stories and metrics with the Staff and Faculty Health and Well-being Program, and help manage Activity Release Waivers where applicable.
Currently there are 144 trained Wellness Ambassadors representing 103 different departments on campus, with 3,424 subscribers to the Wellness listserv. Some of those subscribers were added during one of the seven Healthy UC Davis Initiative tabling events held on the Davis campus during the last fiscal year.
