A list of the institution level sustainability learning outcomes:
A set of “Campus Goals for Undergraduate Learners” were adopted by the Academic Senate in April 2002, to (1) articulate what we aspire for student learning; (2) help to establish campus priorities and guide decision making related to student development; and (3) guide academic programs in the review of how their classes and course requirements interact with the goals to demonstrate educational effectiveness.
The following goals are sustainability supportive:
- Cultivate the virtues. Indicators: Ethics, responsibility, honor, tolerance, respect for others, empathy
- Develop a global perspective. Indicators: Broad intellectual and cultural experience through active engagement, an understanding of the interactions among the individual, society, and the natural world

A brief description of how the figure above was determined:
All degree programs offered by UC Davis were analyzed to see if they included sustainability-focused learning outcomes. Once the sustainability-focused degree programs were identified, the list of individual students who graduated from such programs was filtered from the total list of students graduated in three academic years; 2016-2017, 2017-2018 and 2018-2019. Duplicate student counts (based on double majoring) were removed to arrive at the final list.
