UC Davis has extensive real-time metering in place for all campus utility systems. All metering data is collected and stored in central databases for review and analysis.
As of March 2013, 78% of all campus space has building-level electrical meters, 56% of all campus space served by the central steam loop has building-level steam meters, 62% of all campus space served by the central chilled water loop has building-level chilled water meters. 87% of all campus gas use is metered at the facility-level.
