A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the inventory:
A list of courses developed by an ad-hoc faculty work group on sustainability and curriculum, the campus course catalog, and the John Muir Institute for the Environment website’s course list were used to identify and compile a list of courses. That list was then sent to department advisors as well as faculty for review and refinement. UC Davis has not developed a formal definition of sustainability in the curriculum through the campus’ Academic Senate; however, an ad-hoc faculty group has worked on identifying courses with sustainability in the curriculum. For the purposes of this credit, the campus used the AASHE STARS definition.
