3578 staff and faculty participated in the 2017 Engagement Survey, which provided insights into how staff and faculty feel about the university, the work they do, and opportunities for improvement. The results of past surveys have helped the university engage and support employees, and helped us understand how to reach the goals set out in our Eyes High strategy. Employee feedback has resulted in improved opportunities for professional development in many areas and several new teaching and research initiatives. There were increases in employee satisfaction and engagement from the 2011, 2013 and 2015 surveys and leadership is committed to continuous improvement in areas flagged by the survey.
