Workplace Diversity and Employment Advisory Committee:
The purpose of the committee is to advise the associate vice-president (human resources) on plans and initiatives to support our commitment to diversity and employment equity. The associate vice-president (human resources) is the senior official responsible for employment equity at the University of Calgary, and will chair the Workplace Diversity and Employment Equity Advisory Committee.

Residence Education Team offers a Student Involvement Group called the Diversity and Arts (DnA) that focuses on challenging social norms and creating a more inclusive environment for all students to grow, learn and become more comfortable with who they are. The group participates in various activities and organizes community events to educate students on appropriate ways to address non-inclusive behaviour. The specific activities and events for the year are determined in September.

Workplace Diversity and Employment Advisory Committee:
- The committee will consist of one representative of each of the University of Calgary Faculty Association and Management and Professional Staff Association and two representatives of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees Local 52.
- Additional members representing various university faculties or units and members of the designated groups under employment equity will be appointed by the chair.
- The committee will also include the Human Resources staff members representing analysts, consultants, workforce administration, and recruitment and retention.

The President's Advisory Committee on the Status of Women is appointed by the President, as follows:
- Four members of the academic staff (one non-teaching).
- Three members of the support staff, two nominated by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE), Local 52 and one nominated by Management and Professional Staff (MaPS).
- Three students, two nominated by the Student Legislative Council (SLA) (one male and one female) and one nominated by the Graduate Students Association (GSA).
- The Advisor to the President on Women's Issues will be the Chair.
- A term of office will normally be two years, with approximately half the committee rotating each year. A member may be reappointed by the President.
- The committee will be predominantly women but at least two members will be men.
