A brief description of the program:
In 2013 a Move Out Program was piloted by the Residence Students’ Association. In partnership with Waste Management, Goodwill Industries, and other local organizations drop zones were setup to redirect a number of items – clothing, food, electronics, etc. A competition, the "Battle of Alberta" was held between the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary to see which student residence could divert more waste during move out.
