A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contribute to the diversion rate for construction and demolition waste:
There was an introduction of the new Construction, Renovation and Demolition Waste Diversion Program. The new integrated waste management program is a turnkey program to improve waste and diversion collection and data management by stream lining the process through our current Resource Management partner Waste Management. All new programs that come online will have a site assessment with our WM Account Manager. The University of Calgary Project Manager and the Waste Management Account Manager will determine if the project diversion will occur in a comingled system or source separation. All data will be provided by the WM contractor to the University through the ARCHIBUS database ensuring consistent, reliable reporting
