Does the institution have indoor and secure bike storage, shower facilities, and lockers for bicycle commuters in at least one building?:
Yes

A brief description of the facilities:

UBC has 6 free, secure bicycle cages located across campus, providing 379 parking spaces. An additional 26 bike lockers are available for $10/month, providing 52 additional secure parking spaces. A new, state-of-the-art bicycle parking facility recently opened, increasing secure bike parking on campus by 34%. Another facility is under construction now. In 2010, there were 815 registered secure bike parking users. For more information on the opening of our newest facility, see: http://www.planning.ubc.ca/vancouver_home/news_and_events/enewsletter/february_2011/articles426.php.

UBC also has 7,597 short-term bike parking spaces (covered and uncovered) located across campus and outside each of the major buildings. Public showers are located in all the major recreation centres across campus and are open to UBC student, faculty, staff, residents, and visitors.

In 2010, Transportation Planning developed a revised campus policy for the provision of bicycle storage, showers and lockers in all new academic building developments and in major renovations and reviewed projects at the development permit stage to ensure consistency with new guidelines. Transportation Planning also improved access and management of UBC's bicycle locker program, including reducing fees from $23/month to $10/month.
