As required by Carbon Neutral Government Regulation (http://www.livesmartbc.ca/government/neutral.html), UBC offset all emissions to become carbon neutral in 2010, purchasing 60,792 tonnes of high quality, made-in-BC carbon offsets from the Pacific Carbon Trust (http://www.pacificcarbontrust.com/). The carbon offset purchase amount also covers emissions from off-campus properties and paper consumption.
