The University of Arkansas has a plan to capture stormwater runoff for our campus cooling towers, but the ROI of this project still needs to improve before implementation.
There are underground water cisterns in some campus locations that collect rainwater from roofs and irrigate landscape.
A brief description of the institution's initiatives to replace plumbing fixtures, fittings, appliances, equipment, and systems with water-efficient alternatives (e.g. building retrofits):
Some of the institution's replacements have been dual flush toilets, pint urinals, no-flush urinals, and tap facets.
