The University of Arkansas Sustainability Academic Program provides buy-out time and support for the development of Tier 1 and Tier 2 sustainability courses. This program supports faculty in multiple disciplines or departments to develop new sustainability courses and/or incorporate sustainability into existing courses.

Incentives for faculty to participate in this program include faculty release time, funding for professional development, grants, financial awards, and training offered by the institution.
