The purpose of the University of Arkansas Sustainability Council is to make recommendations to the Chancellor and Provost and advise the Office for Sustainability in implementing its programs and responsibilities. The UA Sustainability Council has worked to implement several initiatives on campus including a green revolving fund, an integrated pest management plan, the Climate Action Plan version 2.0.

The Office for Sustainability (OFS) is located at 238 Harmon Ave. on the University of Arkansas campus, and is titled the "Sustainability House." Eric Boles, the Director of the Office for Sustainability; Marty Matlock, the Executive Director for the Office for Sustainability; an Administrative Assistant and 15 paid student interns work out of the Sustainability House.
The Office for Sustainability's mission is to motivate, facilitate and coordinate innovation and change through partnerships with faculty, students and staff across administrative units to create a culture of sustainability.
OFS oversees the implementation of the University of Arkansas; sustainability goals convenes the community to share best practices; evaluates and recommends new programs and policies that strive to serve as replicable models to inspire students and future leaders
