A brief description of the plan:
Areas for bicycle parking expansion are mapped, and a coordinated plan allows for bike parking as part of the overall campus development plan. Bike loops continue to be installed at all major construction projects per LEED Silver requirements. Cyclists are required to stay off sidewalks and use streets and drives for pedestrian safety. Each major bike loop lot is located to an adjacent street or parking lot so one can access it without riding on a side walk. The University of Arkansas is working with the City and the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to install additional road share symbols.
