A brief description of the institution's indoor air quality plan, policy, and/or practices:
The responsibilities and services of the Environmental Compliance Shop include complete asbestos and abatement services, piping and insulation services, and maintenance of the campus asbestos material location database and files.
As building renovations, plumbing repairs and upgrades, and HVAC maintenance and upgrades occur on campus the Environmental Compliance Shop removes asbestos containing materials, and replaces them with materials that do not pose health hazards to building users. Most incidences of friable asbestos and most locations where building user or worker exposure might occur have been remediated.
Mold, mildew and other indoor air pollutants are assessed and mitigasted by Environmental Health and Safety.
