A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):

Stundens and employees can receive wellness and assistance programs through Life & Work Connections https://lifework.arizona.edu/., which provides the campus community with tools to promote health physically, emotionally, metally, financially, socially, and more. Many resources are available related to childcare, fitness, mindfulness, meeting with a financial specialist, and more. 

 

One example si sthe "One-on-One Counseling" program through ComPsych, which offers free, confidential, short-term counseling is available to all benefits-eligible employees nationwide, their dependents, and members of their households through ComPsych https://caps.arizona.edu/

 

This support includes:



  • Up to 12 counseling sessions per issue per year.

 

  • Extended appointment times, including evenings and weekends.

 

  • A diverse, statewide network of providers allows you to select a provider who meets your cultural, clinical, and location preferences.

 

  • A range of service modes, including in-person, phone, video, and chat options.

 

  • English- and/or Spanish-speaking counselors and translation services for other languages.

"The University is dedicated to providing a healthy environment for those who participate in University activities. In support of this goal, the University prohibits the use of products that contain tobacco or nicotine, which the Food and Drug Administration has identified as an addictive chemical. These products include cigarettes, cigars, pipes, electronic smoking devices (such as e-cigarettes), bidis, kreteks, hookahs, water pipes, and all forms of smokeless tobacco.
