Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
ENR2 is one of University of Arizona's LEED Platinum buildings. The rooftop had been an ongoing project between many groups across campus before being completed in August 2021. Now, the combination of solar panels and green roof area (comprised of native desert plants), serves as a hub for agrivoltaics research on campus. The roof has 20 study plots, divided into 5 and 8 inch planting medium depths and further divided into exposed plots and those under solar panels. Data gathered from this project will be critical in encouraging further agrivoltaics systems to green roof and solar panel professionals. ENR2's rooftop is open to public access for employees, students, and community members to enjoy.
