The university has undertaken a campus climate assessment in the past year. These results will be utilized in shaping priorities of the Diversity Coordinating Council of the university as well as the goals and priorities of the chief diversity officer, and will affect the work of the various cultural centers on campus.

The most recent assessment findings are awaiting publication. However, the university has had a Diversity Task Force ongoing for the past year in response to a student "demands letter" and a range of listening sessions of marginalized student groups on campus. The output of the task force, and the campus climate assessment results, will both shape the ongoing work of the Diversity Coordinating Council and a number of programmatic and strategic efforts of the university.
