A brief description of the institution's Tree Campus USA program:
In 2009, the University of Arizona became a Tree Campus USA. The Campus Arboretum was again awarded this recognition in 2010.
In order to receive recognition as a Tree Campus USA, the UA Campus Arboretum must have an external advisory boards, a tree care plan which governs the management of campus trees and details preservation during construction and specifies directive for storm and emergency tree care.
