A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

The first institutional faculty and staff engagement survey conducted at the University of Alberta was conducted in October 2019. The online survey was available for two weeks, and was administered through an external vendor, TalentMap.

7,400 staff members were invited to participate. Casual support staff, undergraduate and graduate students were excluded from the survey.

Communication and action were delayed due to the COVID-19 crisis.
