CORPORATE CHALLENGE
http://www.corporatechallenge.ualberta.ca/en/About.aspx
The games were created in 1992 to provide an activity for local businesses to foster employee interaction, teamwork, morale, pride, and health and wellness. The response has been great, with the Edmonton and Area Games boasting an Olympics-style competition that is now one of the largest amateur sporting events in Canada! In addition to athletic competition, an equal emphasis is placed upon team spirit. Participants compete in specific sports as well as in activities that are geared towards building team pride, such as blood donation and the Heart & Stroke Big Bike ride.
