Does the institution use a centralized energy management system that allows it to track energy consumption and performance in multiple buildings in a central location?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the management system:
We utilize our Building Automation System (BAS) to centrally monitor and control the central systems in each individual building.
As well, the University of Alberta utilizes Direct Digital Controls (DDC) in each building to monitor and control the central systems of the buildings. A multi-campus network interconnects these buildings/systems to central DDC monitoring servers and a 24 hour Control Centre, where building operators monitor and control each building and its systems.
