A brief description of the institution's indoor air quality plan, policy, and/or practices:
All occupied spaces are monitored for indoor air quality. The University of Alberta uses Direct Digital Control systems to control the ventilation systems to maintain ventilation rates. Also, our mechanical design guidelines follow the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Standard 62 - Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality. Occupants can provide feedback via the Quality Assurance call centre that is consistently monitored, and we use the services of a third-party testing agency to test air quality conditions in buildings where complaints have been received.
