A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
The University of Alberta's Augustana Faculty developed a new curriculum that was implemented in the fall of 2010. It is distinguished by its core requirements. Students must take 15 credits in at least three different categories. Two of these categories are related to sustainability—Environmental Sustainability and Diversity and Global Studies. The vast majority of students are choosing the two categories related to sustainability as part of their core course work.
