A brief description of the farmers’ market:
A student-run farm stand started in the summer of 2011. A garden partnership between the campus dining services, Facilities Services, and the Office of Sustainability was producing more vegetables than dining services could process. Instead of watching their vegetables go to waste, student workers came up with the idea to start a farm stand on campus, open every Thursday.
Vegetables are grown organically, on campus, by student workers. UAF students receive a 25% discount.
