The central website of the University has an option that has full access to the Office of Sustainability, this site allows viewers to see all of the sustainability efforts that are made by the office and it's employees including, current, and future events held on campus.

The Office of Sustainability generates a monthly newsletter that reaches all of the staff and faculty working on campus. The newsletter is also uploaded onto several social media sites that reaches all of the students past and present, including friends of friends.

Sustainability Club, Office of Sustainability, Green Fee, and USUAA all use the social media outlet of Facebook and the Green and Gold, which is the on campus information catalyst for all of the events that happen on campus.

The Green Fee is the $3.00 paid along with the student government fee at UAA. This promotes sustainability efforts in the university community by funding student initiatives defined by environmental stewardship, economic pragmatism, and social responsibility.

The Conoco Phillips Building is considered the most sustainable building on campus. Most of the materials were recycled, special considerations were taken in account when adding new light fixtures.

UAA offers a sustainable walking tour that is available online as a self-guided tour or you can call the UAA recruitment department and have a student tour guide help you along the tour.

The University offers many different types of alternative transportation options. Students can rent a bike with their wolfcard for one month for free, the local public mover bus, Share-a-ride and the Seawolf Shuttle offers free rides to students that have a current student ID. The University also has ZimRide and Hertz OnDemand available on campus.

An anchorage bike map is available through the city with educational materials and safety procedures along with maps of biking trails for the Anchorage areas. Bike friendly On-street routes, bicycle routes, areas of increased wildlife activity. These maps are handed out at several offices on campus and also have an online version available.

Green living guide is offered to the students when they are in the "move in" process. Residence life also places containers in the halls towards the end of the semester to encourage reducing, reusing and recycling within the University system. The guide also highlights alternative transportation and understanding diversity.

Through many outreach efforts, the Office of Sustainability and Sustainably related items are featured in The Northern Light newspaper and the Green and Gold online news. To keep current the Office of Sustainability creates an event that is used to inform and educate the students on campus each month. General support services has printer cartridge recycling on electronic reader boards.The purpose of this policy is to insure the protection of University assets and to inform all departments of the appropriate methods of declaring and disposing of surplus, salvage, scrap and worthless property.All property and equipment purchased with university funds (including unrestricted funds, grants, endowments or gifts), donated to the university, or acquired for the university through other means are the property of the University of Alaska Anchorage and title remains with the university at all times until asset disposal. The following describes the procedures that must be followed to surplus/dispose of any university property. UAA General Support Services has primary responsibility for this function through its Surplus division.
