The Healthyroads Program is provided to employees and spouses/partners enrolled in the UA Choice health plan by the University of Alaska as part of your benefits. The program aims to introduce you to a new world of wellness with the following health improvement services, including:

The website features many tools, including a Personal Health Assessment (PHA), cardio and strength exercise planners with animated demos, a meal/nutrition planner, more than 40 fitness and wellness trackers, a library of health articles, videos, blogs, mp3s and more!

Challenges
Healthyroads Challenges offer a fun and creative way to get healthy with your coworkers and teammates. Topics for the challenges range from physical activity and stress management to nutrition, and often tie in with the time of year—making them relevant and inspiring to you and your life.

Healthyroads Coaching for weight management, tobacco cessation, stress management, and/or healthy living
Access one-on-one telephone-based coaching to help you get healthy in a whole new way. You’ll also have access to a variety of educational resources and an optional Milestone Kit when you complete a progress review session with your coach.

Biometric Screenings
By either attending an onsite screening, visiting your health care provider or getting a screening at a local contracted facility, you can learn vital health statistics, such as your blood pressure, lipid panel (total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides), BMI and/or waist circumference, glucose/blood sugar levels and more.

Results from biometric screenings will automatically populate your Personal Health Assessment, allowing you to generate a plan customized to you and your health needs.
